Abstract

The management of community fees in residential associations often encounters challenges due to low payment compliance, mainly caused by residents’ forgetfulness and the absence of an effective reminder system. This community service program aims to implement an artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot as an automatic reminder to improve payment compliance. The program was conducted at Lavanaa Land Housing, Shura cluster, through stages of preparation, system development, implementation, training, and evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in residents’ compliance with fee payments and participation in community activities. In addition, the workload of administrators in manual reminder processes was reduced, while communication and financial transparency improved. The chatbot, integrated with WhatsApp, successfully sent personalized and scheduled reminders, facilitated administration, and enhanced resident participation. The program outputs include a ready to use chatbot application, improved administrator capacity, and comprehensive community service documentation. Overall, the use of AI-based chatbot reminders has proven effective in supporting fee management, strengthening resident participation, and increasing administrative efficiency in community associations
