Branding Desa Mojorejo Melalui Pemanfaatan Sampah Plastik Menjadi Produk Layak Jual sebagai Penguat Ekonomi Desa

Waste management remains a critical issue in many regions, including Batu City. The core problems are not only related to environmental pollution and public health but also to the ongoing disputes over the location of final disposal sites (TPA), which have yet to be resolved. As a result, waste accumulates, degrading the local environment and potentially causing various diseases. Although household waste sorting has been initiated, there has been a lack of follow-up, particularly in processing plastic waste. In response, the community service team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang collaborated with local partners in Mojorejo Village to implement a plastic waste processing program aimed at producing economically valuable products. This community engagement project, conducted over six months, includes socialization activities and technical assistance in product development using recycled plastic. The program seeks to provide a sustainable solution to plastic waste problems while enhancing the local community's economic resilience
