Abstract

This community service program aims to improve community knowledge and capacity in preventing stunting during the first 1,000 days of life (HPK). Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that significantly affects children’s physical growth, cognitive development, and the quality of future human resources. The activities were carried out through nutrition counseling, training for health cadres, family assistance, and community-based education using a participatory approach. Evaluation results indicated an increase in community understanding of stunting from 30% to 85% and positive behavioral changes in nutritious feeding practices from 40% to 80%. The program outputs included educational modules, the establishment of mother support groups, and a community-based growth monitoring system. Therefore, this program was effective in enhancing awareness, skills, and collaboration within the community to sustainably prevent stunting.
